Swimming Pool Renovation, Steam Room & Sauna – Dabouq, Jordan
A private villa renovation project in Dabouq, Jordan, completed in 2023. The existing swimming pool was stripped back to the structural shell and fully rehabilitated with new plastering, waterproofing and tiling works. The project also included the construction of a new steam room and a new sauna.

A private villa swimming pool rehabilitation project in Dabouq, Amman, completed in 2023. The existing indoor swimming pool was stripped back to the structural shell and fully rehabilitated. The works included surface preparation, plastering, a complete MAPEI waterproofing system, new tiling, a complete mechanical room, filtration and circulation systems, and a 37.5 kW heat-pump heating system with a heat exchanger connected to the boiler. The project also included a new steam room and a new sauna.

The challenge
The main challenge was the complete rehabilitation of an existing indoor swimming pool while retaining the original structural shell. The project required careful removal of the previous finishes, preparation and correction of the existing surfaces, integration of new waterproofing and mechanical systems, and coordination of the pool heating system with both a heat pump and the existing boiler system.
